Include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, app version if known, workspace name, and what happened. An error message or a screenshot with confidential information removed can help. Do not send passwords, gateway tokens, or private drawings unless requested through an agreed channel.
Email supportAdd your customer workspace
- Get the .insite customer pack supplied for your workspace and save it in Files.
- Open the customer workspace action in the app header, or open Basic / Pro and choose Import customer pack.
- Select the file and let the app verify it. Check that the correct customer name and PDF count appear.
- Use Home's service-document lookup or open the PDF library to find equipment information.
The generic app does not include your customer's PDFs. An individual PDF is not a customer pack; contact Todd if you have documents but no .insite file. Imported packs make their documents available locally. Importing a pack does not activate a paid license.
Trying the app without customer documents? Download the fictional sample workspace, save it in Files, and import it using the steps above. It contains one original two-page sample PDF and no customer data. Importing any pack replaces the active workspace, so keep your current pack file if you want to restore it.
In the sample workspace, ask What is the sensor tag on sample conveyor SC-100? The reference is PE-101 on page 1 of the sample equipment document. All sample part numbers and observations are invented for demonstration.
On-device AI and offline use
On-device generation requires Apple Intelligence-compatible hardware, iOS or iPadOS 26 or later, Apple Intelligence enabled, and the model available on the device. Not every iPhone or iPad supports these features.
If the app says the model is unavailable, check Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri and follow Apple's model-download or availability instructions. The app explains unavailable generation rather than silently sending local questions to a server.
After a customer pack is imported, its PDFs are available offline. Document answers use searchable text and may include unverified OCR from scanned pages. Ask with an equipment name, part number, or drawing number, then open the cited page to check it. This mode does not interpret drawing geometry or analyze photos.
If an answer cannot be supported, review the matching PDF pages or ask a more specific question. Generated text does not establish the cause of an equipment fault or replace qualified inspection.
Photos, camera, and files
Attachment actions offer Take photo, Photo library, and Choose file. If camera or library access was denied, review the app's permissions in device Settings. Cancelling a picker should leave your existing input in place.
Photo and file review uses the connected assistant. A local service note can include an attachment for an email draft, but the on-device document and service modes do not visually analyze that attachment. A file remains a file attachment; it is not treated as a photograph.
Connected assistant unavailable
Each customer operates its own connected AI gateway. Ask your organization's gateway operator for the HTTPS address, access token, and information about its AI providers and data practices. Enter the address and token in connection settings. The device needs a network connection and permission to reach that service.
Before sending questions or attachments, read the disclosure, enable Allow connected AI, and choose Save + test. The choice applies only to this workspace and gateway. A reachable gateway with connected AI switched off will not receive your connected questions or attachments.
To turn connected AI off, uncheck the option and choose Save + test. Changing the gateway also clears the choice. Connection tests send no prompts or attachments. Disabling the option does not delete information previously sent to the gateway.
Do not use another customer's gateway or paste a private token into a support message. Contact your gateway operator if the service is offline, credentials are rejected, or you need information deleted. Local document lookup and local service drafting do not require this connection when their documents and model are available.
Service notes, email, and saved work
Describe the equipment and observed issue, review the generated draft, and choose email or sharing when ready. The app opens a draft for you to review; it does not automatically submit a service request.
If no email composer opens, check that an email app or account is configured. You can also contact Todd directly. Save important records separately: activity is kept on this device, with up to 100 recent records, and original attachments are not stored in activity history.
Install updates over the existing app to preserve its local workspace and records. Before deleting the app or removing a workspace, keep copies of the documents and records you need. See the mobile privacy policy for storage and removal details.
Basic / Pro and deployment questions
Basic / Pro shows the installed workspace and provides a reviewable quote or proposal email. You can request monthly or annual options and specify the number of registered devices; one registered device is one seat.
Organization deployments use monthly or annual agreements arranged with Todd. There is no payment or automatic charge in the app. Basic means no customer pack; Demo means a pack is installed without active paid access; Pro means a signed, active organization license has been verified for that device.
In the license-enabled release, the first customer-pack import starts a 14-day device demo. Open Basic / Pro and choose Request device activation to prepare your registration email. After your organization arranges access, save the supplied .insitelicense file to Files and choose Import device license. Each iPad or iPhone needs its own license. A pack file alone does not activate Pro.
Access works offline until its displayed expiration. Arrange renewal with Todd and import the replacement license. Without renewal, AI features pause while PDFs and saved work remain accessible. Changing or removing a pack does not restart the demo. Offline devices cannot be disabled immediately; their seats remain reserved through any already-issued access period.
